What do the titles beneath names represent?

These are “ranks” based on post count.  The stars increase accordingly as well.

Newcomer    
Scout                  25
Settler                 50
Explorer              100   
Pathfinder           250
Guide                 500
Senior Guide       1000
Pioneer              2500
Ranger               5000
